I can’t help but chuckle, but only because I can relate to the tangled leashes! And geez, I only have “2”!! When I had 3 it was actually easier, she kept the youngsters in line! My two feel they need to be in herding mode so they attempt to walk behind me, which is terribly annoying and not a good plan! Dogs are very sensitive to our feelings, and the mood we are in. You have great dogs, I’m sure they read you well! Great advice on how to tame one’s emotional state. Thanks for all you do for all the lost pets out there!!🐾🐾

I laughed so hard at the "you'd better calm the hell down." That will be an inside joke to me now too.

Losing Lucy was the worst thing that had ever happened in my life. I feel very lucky that I handle emergencies pretty rationally. I think.

I could handle four dogs when I had two double-leashes with swivels. I'd try to keep two dogs on each side and it would work. Once you add a fifth, all bets are off.

I enjoyed this so much!!! I laughed at your conversation about the leashes, your car, your phone all the negative feelings you were having of pure frustration because I could relate as a lot of us can. It was true on all levels. If I can stay focused and more positive it does absolutely make a difference verse my freaked-out moments that I know can upset Sadie my dog. Then I realize that she is counting on me to be her leader. I know that my moods do affect hers, and others around me. I love this article so much. Thank you for this.

A long article but many good points and suggestions. Good reminders about how our moods, emotions and actions can have an impact on other living things not just ourselves. I do not know how you manage walking with that many dogs on leashes . Good that you can sometimes see the humor in some of this!! Thanks for everything you all do for dogs and cats.

I think it's important to let the pet owner know that cats and dogs can smell or sense our emotions. This was my biggest mistake. Should of learned a practical meditation before searching. I learned about it too late.

We admire what you and your dog partners do. Have you ever considered a community of helpers? We would be willing to help you and yours in anyway we could. We can’t do what you do but, we could do anything else…

Grocery shop, feed pals left at home, wash your car etc etc.
