I love the wtw words that came up for the Douglas fir. Each time you share a snippet of your life with Viktor, it is filled with natural beauty. This was his gift to you, his way of returning the love you gave him. You didn’t fail him. He needed somewhere he could just be, just walk slowly.

I love this. It made me cry and it made me happy. I feel like every animal is with us to teach us something. I'm sorry that Viktor is gone, but it sounds like you both helped each other.

James, As usual, your words paint a beautiful picture. I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost my Lizzy last week.. A gorgeous 16 year old German shorthair pointer. Adopted from the Everett Animal shelter when she was about 6 months old.. My thoughts and prayers are with you... Huge hugs...from Cathy and my pack...

James,

Your love for all you dogs past and present. Is clear to many. We know some people will never understand. You know Viktor loved you and showed it in his personality. He accepted to live with you and the rest of your pack. Most people would not have undestood him and accepted him as he was. Change is hard for some. He decided to accept change. What he may have excepted is something he was never used to before he joined your pack. Love from you and his 4 legged brothers and sisters. May you enjoy a long life with your dogs. Past, present, and future. As we all know. Someday more dogs will become part of your family.
