My Zsa Zsa's m.o. is to stand quietly right behind me so that when I step back she has an excuse to utter a blood-curdling shriek.

We had a cat who used to try to kill us that way.

Great stories about your “kids”…My cat Sox, has kidney disease and some annoying habits, but this reminded me to appreciate him because at 16 and on 3 meds, he may not be with me much longer. I try to remember that when he wakes me every morning at 3 or 4 AM. He is a gentle soul and really good boy.

Thank you so very much for this. My dog Buddy has been barking more then usual lately and particularly this morning it was extra irritating. This is exactly what I needed to hear. A reminder that at 11 years he will not be around for all that much longer and I am sure I too will miss every single annoying Bark of his.

Thank you to you and your dogs for all the wonderful work you do. And it is a real joy to read your stories and educational pieces.
