Valentino is Available for Adoption*.
(The actual dog you adopt will be different, but just as great as Tino in many ways.)
Valentino is available for adoption*.
Valentino’s mother was wandering lost in the mountains. I trapped her in a humane trap, and Tino was born the next day. He was adorable, of course. I loved him from the moment I met him. I tried to get someone to adopt Tino and his mom, because I wanted them to stay together. I couldn’t find anyone to take on that challenge. Then I offered just Tino’s mom for adoption, by herself. I already had Sky, who was a handful, and there was no way Sky and Salma could get along in the same house. It would be possible to integrate a puppy if I could find a place for Salma. She was adopted into a great home.
Tino has been a great dog. He is a search dog that finds lost dogs. He has found dozens of dogs, and saved lives. He is a perfect companion. He is smart and funny, loves to play, and is always eager to go to work. He sleeps right next to me, and I couldn’t go to sleep if he wasn’t by my side. The past six years with Tino have been wonderful. I love him more than life itself.
Why would I offer my best friend for adoption? Well, I’m not really offering my Tino for adoption. My point is that there are many, many dogs available for adoption from rescues and shelters. A high percentage of those dogs can be just as great as Tino. Tino is a search dog because I spent 18 months training him to be one. He is a wonderful companion because he has known love every single day of his life. Some dogs are born great, and will be perfect companions for pretty much anyone. Other dogs need help to find their greatness. Sometimes you have to build up a great dog from a dog who could otherwise lead a troubled life. Like Mu. Mu was chained in a yard as a puppy. I bought him for $100 just to get him away from those people. I tried not to keep him because he was very destructive and I didn’t have room for him. I got stuck with him, so I trained him to be a search dog, and he has saved the lives of hundreds of cats. Mu is a perfect dog, even though he still has destructive habits sometimes. I can’t imagine my life without Tino and Mu.
You could adopt a dog that no one wants, and that dog could become a great dog, and the most important thing in your life. Below are some dogs available from Useless Bay Sanctuary. They need homes, and you should adopt a dog in order to give him a great life. You should also adopt a dog because, if you put the effort into it, you could have a family member that you love with all your heart. You could have a companion that makes your life wonderful. Adopt a dog and the two of you can build a life together.
Boyd, captured by UBS and available from the Everett Animal Shelter. He is shy and needs a lot of patience and understanding.
Giles, the brother of Boyd, in foster with UBS. Also shy and needing someone to work with him.
Vera, above, available from the King County shelter in Kent. She was captured by UBS volunteers after being seen wandering a wide area for several weeks.
Michelangelo, below, is a sweet dog, brother of Raphael the cat-detection dog. He was caught by UBS, along with Donatello and Leonardo, on August 20th, 2021. He has been in foster care for almost two years now. I’m sure he could be a great dog, like his brothers, in the right environment.
Baya is a nice old girl. She has had a rough life, and she needs a quiet, safe home where she will be treated like royalty.
Nick has been in foster care with UBS for more than two years. He is a special needs dog with medical issues that will need ongoing care. He is very sweet and easy to manage.
Gracie was a stray in Lynden, WA, who was captured on December 15th, 2020. She has been in foster care since then. She is a good girl who needs a forever family of her own. (Nick and Gracie make a cute pair, if you could adopt them together.)
Besides the dogs available from UBS, all the local shelters are full of great dogs right now. I can’t guarantee that any dog you adopt will be as great as Tino or Mu, but the dog you add to your family can be great in his or her own way. My dogs are the best things in my life. They were all unwanted by their previous owners, and I am so glad they are a part of my family. Add someone to your family today.
You are correct as usual. I recieved an update from the lady that adopted one of our foster dogs last year. She sent me a video and I replied saying he looks very happy. She said he is and she could not have a better companion.
All my animals are rescues, but they’re the ones who rescue me daily.
My Anatolian Shepherd, adopted from NASRN, had been through a couple rescues, a couple returns, and been declared “unadoptable” before NASRN got him.
He wasn’t unadoptable. He was just waiting for me. ♥️
We also have two Hound mixes, a Golden-Lab-Poodle mutt, and three rescue cats.
*disclaimer: Anatolians are definitely not the breed for most people, but they are addictive to those who love them!
