Fun is serious business
A search dog searches for missing people or animals or drugs or bombs because, for the most part, it is fun. I think Mu and Tino understand the serious nature of our business because they both have found the remains of dogs and cats who have died. Usually, on most searches, they are having fun looking for lost pets. Certainly training day is designed to be fun, and our dogs think Sunday, training day, is the best day of the week.
Although today wasn’t Sunday, Valentino and Raphael decided they needed fun anyway. We went to the beach and played. Tino’s mom was lost in the mountains when I trapped her, saving her life and the life of her unborn puppy. Raphael and his brothers were puppies that had been dumped in the mountains, and probably would not have survived without the intervention of UBS volunteers. Both of these dogs could have lost their lives before they even started, so every day is worth celebrating. I am madly in love with both of these mutts, and seeing them play is the best thing in the world for me. I wish I could become a dog for a day so I could run and chase and splash with them.
Please watch this video of the boys having a blast.
Thank you for all you do for all the fur babies👍🐾🐾
Love watching these two be free and having fun playing with in the water at the beach. So happy
