Rosie had just come to her new home the night before. She ran off when she was startled. She was staying within a few houses of home, and I felt like the humane trap had a good chance of working. We went there and saw her right away. She was staying in an area and seemed to have a favorite spot next to a house. We set the trap and she went in within an hour. The trap was a little sticky, and it did not trigger the first time, even though she was in the trap a good 12 minutes, getting all of the Vienna sausage. She left the trap and went back to her spot. I put new food in the trap and set it to a lighter sensitivity. After she had a nap, she went in the trap and it tripped sooner this time. She was caught. We carried the trap into her house, and let her out. She was a bit shy, but she warmed up over time. I think she will be fine in her new home.
