Help me save lives
Getting the best information out to the right people can make a world of difference to a lost dog or cat.
Help me save lives
I’m asking for your help. When people are missing a dog or a cat, I encourage them to ask for help as one of the first steps. They should be asking for help from friends and family, from neighbors, and from the whole community. The odds of finding a lost cat or dog go up dramatically when friends and strangers pitch in and help, as long as they help in the right ways. People often ask for my help because of my experience and expertise. If my dog or cat was lost, I would definitely want help from someone like me who knows what to do. I want to help as many people as I can. I want to save the lives of more cats and dogs and get them back to their families. Unfortunately, I can only help so many people individually. I know that people get frustrated when they can’t get personalized help from me in a timely manner because I’m already busy helping people.
I have tried to compensate for that by making my knowledge available to everyone through my web page and through my newsletter. The web page has crucial resources, such as Three Retrievers’ Guide to Finding Your Lost Dog, and Three Retrievers’ Guide to Finding Your Lost Cat. The web page also has articles on Calming Signals, creating great Signs, how to use Humane Traps, and also Loss Prevention. The web page receives 60,000 page views per year, which is helping get the information out, which can help save the lives of lost dogs and cats.
In contrast, the Three Retrievers Newsletter contains 173 articles on a variety of topics, basically ten times the information of the web page. If the articles were collected in printed books on a shelf, it would probably amount to five or six books. Subscribers to the newsletter get access to all of those articles, and I am writing new articles every week. You could learn about how Mu has found lost cats, and how Kelsy, Fozzie, and Tino have found lost dogs. There are many stories about how volunteers have rescued stray dogs with no known owner, such as the case of Annabelle. These examples illustrate how your dog or cat could be found. Some of the articles cover loss prevention. The newsletter contains two complete books, available in chapters. There is the Three Retrievers Lost Pet Rescue Handbook, which tells you everything you could possibly want to know about finding lost pets. It’s all accessible on your mobile device, so you can find the information you need in any particular situation. The other book contained in the newsletter articles is Mu & I, full of stories and pictures about Mu and his work. I really enjoy writing the newsletter articles, and I feel they are of the highest quality, with sharp photography included. I think they would be useful to a much larger audience.
I have been writing the newsletter for 20 months. Over that time, I have accumulated 428 subscribers. I am thankful for my readers, and I hope they have enjoyed the articles, or found them helpful. Because the information in the newsletter is so potentially useful in saving the lives of pets, I would like these articles to reach a much wider audience. I think a goal of 10,000 subscribers is not unreasonable. Getting this information out to more people would really make a difference in the lives of dogs and cats, and the people who love them. Every single day, I see online posts about lost dogs and cats, and their owners have no idea of the proper steps they should be taking. I try to help as many people as I can with individual advice, and with search dogs and traps. I could help so many more people if the newsletter reached more people.
Please subscribe to the newsletter, if you haven’t already. Please share your favorite article with someone you know. Send the newsletter to friends and family who are animal lovers. Subscribers get access to more than 173 articles on finding lost pets. Also, if you are already a subscriber, please tell me what you like about the articles, which ones you found useful, and what you would like to see more of. I am happy to keep writing, and putting the best information out there. I am asking for your help, to help me reach a wider audience.
Thank you.
I share your website and articles with many people. In particular with everyone who adopts one of our foster dogs. But it is apparent some do not find the value in learning more. One thing I have a problem understanding is when I provide the link to people on how to register thier dogs microchip. That sometimes it takes multiple remiders over several months. Until apparently they get tired of me sending them a reminder. As always, Thank you for sharing all your information. You and your dogs are heros. And a true hero is not measured by the size of his strength. But buy the strenght of his heart.
