Boyd and Giles are two dogs captured by UBS recently. They were reported running around Darrington since April 18th. It took us a long time to narrow down their locations. We captured Boyd on May 20th and Giles on May 23rd. They were a mile apart from each other by the time we caught them. We don’t know who their owner is, or was. Boyd and Giles are the names I gave them. They were reported running with a third dog, who has not been seen for a week.
Boyd and Giles are obviously brothers. They look almost identical. They behave very similarly, too. Both of them are sweet dogs, but they are shy, and reluctant to interact with humans at first. It appears neither of them have any idea what a leash or collar is. If they remain at the shelter, they aren’t exhibiting behaviors that typically lead to adoption. We would like to get them out of the shelter if at all possible.
Please let us know if you could foster one or both of them. They would very likely try to escape, so you would need a secure yard and also they would have to be on leashes in the yard. Please let us know if you could foster or adopt them. They are good dogs. They need a chance.
I'm glad they are safe, but this breaks my heart. To no-fault of their own they will be at risk of not being adopted? Heartbreaking
